How this research project manages user data
Information from dashboard users is collected by The University of Manchester, a University incorporated by Royal Charter (registered number RC000797), whose registered office is at Oxford Road, Manchester M13 9PL (the "data controller"). Data such as user contact details and account activity will be processed for research purposes as part of the ACTION project (IRAS ID 235520). You can send questions about this project to action@manchester.ac.uk

The project does not involve any automatic decision making or profiling.
Analytical results are provided to you in your professional capacity because a practice or area you work with participates in (provides electronic health data for) the project. If you choose to extract any content, for example printing a graph, you must treat it in accordance with your common law duty of confidentiality and do not take it out of your workplace.
For the avoidance of any doubt, in consideration of the disclosure of Confidential Information by the research project to the Recipient (e.g. a dashboard user), the Recipient shall treat as strictly confidential and not divulge to any third party any of the Confidential Information and shall not make use of any such Confidential Information without the prior written consent from the ACTION project other than for the project's research purpose in accordance with these terms. 'Confidential Information' in this notice means any and all knowledge, know-how, information and techniques not publically known, disclosed to the Recipient in connection with the use of the dashboard including but not limited to research data, databases, software, bioinformatics tools, specifications, plans, drawings, prototypes, models, documents, recordings, instructions, manuals, papers, or other materials of any nature whatsoever including all information provided hereunder.
Personal data will not be passed to any recipients outside the research project or The University of Manchester. Aggregated information, including how users used their accounts, will be used to publish the study findings.
Your browsing activity
We may collect non-personally-identifiable information relating to your use of our sites via Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA technology using cookies. This may include: which pages you see; how long you stay; what you click on our pages; if you visit the website again; etc. This data is collected for the purpose of monitoring and understanding the effectiveness of our dashboard as part of this feedback research study.
